Natural disasters in Bima City and Bima Regency are recurrent public health problems that require systematic preparedness of health workers. This article aims to formulate contextual preparedness strategies for health workers in Bima. The design was a narrative literature review and policy document analysis of national regulations, Ministry of Health guidelines, World Health Organization standards, and official reports from disaster and meteorological agencies, analysed thematically across six domains. The results show that Bima faces floods, flash floods, extreme weather, drought, and earthquakes, so preparedness must follow an all-hazards and locally risk-based approach. Priority strategies include mapping of health workforce capacity, scenario-based contingency plans, disaster nursing competency development, periodic exercises, disaster triage and surge capacity, logistics readiness, disaster-resilient health facilities, layered emergency communication, and post-disaster surveillance. These strategies need field validation through facility assessment and simulation.
